I have no idea if the gelato is any good here. And there are plenty of other places to get Gelato (although remember the secret tip about only getting the kind that is covered).
Design is what lands this gelateria on the TTIL blog. At first glance its easy to mistake for an classic pharmacy or maybe even bookstore. The front door embossed with the store name in gold lettering, a curved marble counter on top of a laminate-style base cabinet, a wood marquee listing of the flavors, and white globe lights all suggest the server is going to appear in a white lab coat.
My favorite two features:
The funky brass conical tops covering the gelato that look like a cross between something Devo would wear, an Indian restaurant would use as serving pieces and a visitor from another planet might accidentally leave behind.
The dark wood bookcases housing hundreds of neatly stacked sugar cones.
